Josh's Testimony

Ok so all of you know I came from a Christian family, and so I heard a lot about God and Jesus before i was saved.  Before I made the decision to follow Christ even though i was pretty young I remember feeling guilty when people would talk to me about Jesus.  I remember a time when I was in Church in Draganesti and I saw a woman recieve Christ.  And relizing that I needed something.  So I asked my Mom about it and she said we would talk about it later and some time after that I prayed with my Mom (im pretty sure it was her) to recieve Jesus into my heart.  Since then God has worked on my life a lot and I've had to keep making that decison to folow him.  Jesus died on the cross for us so that even though we deserve to go to hell, if we choose to put our trust in him and recieve him into our hearts we will not go to hell but spend eternity with HIm.  Romans 5:1 says: therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our lord Jesus Christ.

What Happens When Your Mom Runs Out of Matches.

I story that i was going to post but never did...

It was a thursday, my mom asked me to go get some matches, and on my way out also asked me to get some bread too.... so i left to the nearest store which is just around the corner of our small block.   When i got there they had  no matches but they did have bread, also i forgot to get a bag like my mom asked so i just went home to put the bread down   (did not want to walk around town holding bread in my arms.)  I told my mom there were no matches at that store and i was going to look for them somewhere else.  sooooooo i went to another nearby store and asked for some matches i asked for  "Un box de chibrituri"  looked at me and asked  " for you???" and i said well yeah thinking she meant matches. so she walks over to this bin and pulls out some boxers and im like "noooo.... MATCHES" she is like "OH we don't have them".  so i leave to another store and there i try to ask for matches but i mixed up the words and standing there embarrassed i try again the lady just standing there then guesses "matches?" im like "yes!" finally i get home it took about a half an hour to do all of this.  By the way the matches were stupid they hardly worked it was really hard to light them.

Cold Out! And still hardly any snow!

Ahhh!  Its been a while since  my last post :(  sorry I kept thinking i should write something ether i was too busy or when i did have time I was too lazy.  The 24th Christmas eve we had a program in Ciorani, it ran late but finally we started Florin was doing the music so we practiced the music he had and then went caroling.  At first people were asking me if i was cold because I only had a long sleeve shirt and a sweater over it and at first i wasn't cold at all but at the end I finally did get rather cold... but it was fun.  So when everybody had enough of the cold we went back to the church.  There people talked for a while and drank coffee or tea then the program started.  Florin played some songs while some of  us younger people got ready for a skit. As kind of an intro some of the kids went up and recited some verses, then the skit started.  If you guys want to see the video I will put a link at the bottom of my post.  The skit went rather well considering how it could have turned out...  Then after the skit Cristi had a message, we prayed then people just hung out.  Right after we prayed I started to lose my voice it was almost instant and it kept getting worse, but my problem was I wanted to talk to all the people there and i did so it messed up my voice so i had to whisper to people for a while.  If you know me you know that one of the things i do most is TALK  so it was almost like a fast from talking because it hurt if i did.  And it made me think do i really want to say that?  Is it worth it?  And also if you have been around me much you know i sing all the time too so i couldn't sing at all... but i had to try first of course.   Today was our free day I got up this morning and started writing on this post and now i need to finish up.  I Hope to be putting some stuff up at the end of this week.  Thanks for reading our blog!!!

Click here for the video of the skit     Its not just of the skit it has clips from the whole night.  And the sorry the skit is kinda dark.

Koya

Okay on the 27 of last month we when up to the Tilmans for Bobby birthday.Mr.Tilman knows a guy that knows a guy that works at this old prison so he could let us go in and see this really cool old prison. Before it was a prison it was a strong hold for the Turkish and them after that they turned it in to a prison.
After getting back from the prison we made dinner. When it got dork, us kids played sardines. It took us so long to find Bobby and I actually waked by him two time before I fawned him, we had a great time hanging out with them.
Autumn and Jesaiah played Bobby's new "age of empires", it was fun to watch, I really don't like playing it , making maps is fun, cuz them you know were every thing is. School been great I'm doing better in math then I ever have and for the first time it is actually fun, American history is the best, every thing is just so interesting like the KKK, Jesaiah likes to call them the NMPK (Narrow Minded People Klan). thank you all for read our blog, and sorry for not righting anything for a long time.

Sunday...

Sunday... here's what happened this Sunday.  Sunday morning we had church in Ciorani as usual.  Dad did a study on divorce and what the Bible has to say about it, after the study we hung around for awhile then I went home to get some stuff before we left for Valeni.  I got everything and went back to the church building and found out shortly after that if i had waited my dad was going to make a stop at the house with the van any ways.  OK so we got to Valeni and after worship me and Ruth went in with the kids class to help.  After church was over we all played soccer with people up there.  Then we left sometime around 6:00 and got home at about 7:30.  So I had a great day...  school has been going great and I'm looking forward to my mom coming back on the 3rd of October.  Yesterday was our family free day and we went in to get our new Visas. Well Thats all folks!  Its getting late and we have school tomorrow.  Bye!!!!

..... winter is on its way!

Sorry for not posting for so long... its been pretty  busy.  The weather has been cooling down it hard to believe that just last week we were thinking it was hot!  Yesterday a man in Valeni said  " a venit iarna!" (winter has come) I feel the same way today... its rainy, cold and windy.  Well it looks like the warm days of this year are over...  A lot has been happening to start out my mom left on the on the 2nd to see my grandma that had a surgery, and will be back on the 3rd of October.  The next day we started school, it went well for a first day. Its been two since then and a lot has happened.  My mom got to the U.S. safely, we are doing school and church stuff.  The other night on the way to Valeni for the youth meeting I had the bright idea of acting out our shakespeare book in the van.  It was funny to say the least.  Well I have to go but I'm going to try to post something else this week.  Thanks for reading our blog we appreciate it!
